A Doctor works in a hospital. A Doctor is a person who treats people for dieseases or infections. A Doctor also prescribes medicine to the person if they are diagnosed with a sickness. Some Doctors work for animals, they are called vets. There are many kinds of human doctors however such as a cardiologist for the heart or a pediatrician for a child. 

A Doctor usually works alongside a nurse, they are medical assistants.  They assist with checking up a patient, or sometimes surgery. Doctor's that perform surgery are called surgeons. They take care of internal problems within a patient physically such as removing tumors or fixing a broken bone.
